Cookie Policy
How Machinise uses cookies, and how you can control them.
Last updated June 21, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Machinise K.K. uses cookies and similar technologies — such as local storage — on machinise.com, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website; similar technologies like local storage work the same way. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, and help owners understand how the site is used. "First-party" cookies are set by us; "third-party" cookies are set by the providers whose tools we use.
How we use them
We keep our use deliberately minimal. We use these technologies to:
- keep the Site working and secure;
- remember your preferences, such as language and light or dark theme;
- remember your cookie choice, so we don't ask on every visit;
- with your consent, measure how the Site is used so we can improve it.
Categories we use
Essential. Required for the Site to function — including remembering your cookie choice and your display preferences. These are always on; the Site can't work properly without them.
Analytics (optional). We are introducing PostHog, configured for EU data residency, to understand usage in aggregate; analytics is not active yet. When enabled, it runs only after you accept analytics in the cookie banner, and stays off otherwise.
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Managing your choices
You control analytics through the cookie banner — choose "Essential only" to keep them off, or "Accept" to turn them on. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though blocking essential ones may affect how the Site works.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of these technologies changes. The "last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
